Skilled Massage Therapists with Decades of Experience
Offering You Traditional and Modern Remedies for Swelling and Pain
|We proudly provide the following treatments for swelling and pain:|
The Lewisville Massage Therapy Clinic was founded in 1991 by us — Richard and Dianne Maas — to provide clients with exceptional approaches to help reduce swelling and pain.
We strive to create a peaceful and comfortable environment here… where the burdens of your day get lighter… and your body has opportunities for healing.
At our clinic, you will find a place designed to put your mind at ease and relieve soft tissue discomfort.
Since we’ve not been fortunate to meet you yet, here’s a little bit about the backgrounds of the massage therapists behind the Lewisville Massage Therapy Clinic-
Dianne Maas, LMT, CLT-LANA
Dianne graduated from her basic and advanced massage therapy training at the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in 1990.
Previously, she studied at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, for 2+ years toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
After becoming intrigued by the power of lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling, she trained in the Dr. Vodder method of Combined Decongestive Therapy at Victoria, British Columbia, in 1995.
This led to Dianne becoming certified as a Lymphatic Therapist, and she has since dedicated her practice exclusively to this treatment for swelling.
Dianne is a professional member of both the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the North American Vodder Association of Lymphatic Therapy (NAVALT).
Richard Maas, LMT, MTI, MLD-CDT
Before graduating from the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in 1990, Richard attended the University of Texas at Arlington to study music and play collegiate basketball.
His approach to massage therapy is multi-disciplinary and deftly combines the best elements of myofascial release, trigger point therapy, positional release, and muscle energy technique to relieve soft tissue pain and optimize function.
In 1997, Richard began teaching many aspects of therapeutic massage in different venues… both his own independent workshops and structured classes through massage education facilities.
He is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Karen Case Smith, LMT
Karen is a graduate of the Castleman School of Massage, where she completed her training in both basic and advanced massage therapy in 1999.
She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and focuses her sessions on helping people with stress and pain.
